Can mumps-induced infertility be treated?

Patient's question:

Nearly 10 years into marriage, we still have no children. When we went to the hospital for a check-up, we were diagnosed with infertility. The test on the testicles revealed the presence of secondary spermatogenic cells and seminiferous tubules, but at the time, the hospital said there were no effective Western medical treatments. Later, when we went for another check-up, we were told that the infertility was caused by mumps.

Doctor's answer:

Hello: Testicular damage caused by mumps is irreversible. Wish you good health.
