Features: This book focuses on the "driving forces" and "incentives" related to the sustainable use of arable land. Utilizing principles of economics and management, it analyzes the cost and revenue components of land protection for relevant economic entities and their influencing factors, revealing the economic reasons behind the sustainable use of arable land. Subsequently, it proposes market-based and government-based incentive schemes. Therefore, this book interprets the significant practical issue of sustainable arable land use from the perspective of "driving forces" and "incentives," not only demonstrating the innovation of its topic selection and research approach but also possessing strong theoretical and practical value. Food is essential for people, and land is the foundation of agriculture. This book analyzes the driving forces and influencing factors of sustainable arable land use from three perspectives: the central government, local government, and farmers. It examines the value orientation and behavioral logic of current land users through the lens of economic rationality. On this basis, it proposes government incentive approaches to achieve sustainable arable land use, emphasizing adjustments and innovative ideas in China's arable land property rights system, agricultural subsidy policies, and land management systems. This book was supported by the Heilongjiang Provincial Natural Science Foundation Project (G2004—05) and the National Key Discipline Construction Fund of the College of Economics and Management, China Agricultural University.
