Features: According to the characteristics of listening teaching in "College English" and the English proficiency of the teaching, this textbook is revised according to the following principles: 1. The revised edition still emphasizes the training of basic listening skills. The initial stage focuses on life-related topics, with gradually increasing difficulty, information volume, and topic diversity, as well as gradually improving the speed and difficulty of answering questions. 2. The selected materials cover all entries in the functional-notional table of the syllabus and the requirements for listening skills and some speaking skills specified in the micro-skill table. 3. While cultivating students' ability to understand basic language units, the textbook gradually enhances their comprehension and proficiency at the discourse level, improving their ability to analyze, summarize, synthesize, and infer the content they hear. 4. To ensure the listening speeds meet the syllabus requirements at various levels, the training speeds used in the textbook are slightly higher than those specified in the syllabus, but the speeds for quizzes and review tests are generally consistent with the syllabus requirements. 5. The exercises in the textbook are rich and diverse, including new question types from the National College English Tests (CET), aiming to train and improve students' listening comprehension skills from multiple perspectives. 6. The revised edition adds a speaking practice section, allowing students to use the language and content provided in the textbook for basic training of their oral expression skills under the guidance of their teachers. 7. The content of the textbook strives to be novel, lively, and engaging, with well- retained and adjusted passages, as well as gradually incorporating content reflecting the latest information. The language used is authentic, vivid, and standardized. This book is the Teacher's Edition of the revised listening textbook. It consists of 20 lessons and is designed for college English teachers. Every 6 lessons form a unit, focusing on training a major listening skill, followed by a quiz. After the 20 lessons, a review test is provided, covering the listening skills taught in the entire textbook and serving as a mock exam for the first-level listening test. Quizzes and review questions can be used to assess students' learning progress, and their results can be included in their regular grades.
