Infertility Forum

Patient's question:

I have been married to my husband for 2 years. I have always had irregular periods, with early or delayed menstruation, excessive or insufficient menstrual flow, headache, diarrhea, swelling, and fever. After examination by the doctor, it was said that the symptoms were due to luteal phase deficiency and infertility.

Doctor's answer:

Hello, the basic examination items for female infertility include:
1. Ultrasound examination of the uterus and adnexa;
2. Sex hormone six-item test within three to seven days after the menstrual period is clean;
3. B ovulation monitoring during the ovulation period (starting from the 10th day after the menstrual period, doing it every other day, and stopping by the 20th day of the menstrual period) to check if there is follicle formation and the development of the follicle;
4. Antibody test.
5. Tubal iodine oil contrast examination (it is generally not necessary to do this first. If all the above tests are normal but still unable to conceive, consider this test. Most of those who have difficulty passing this test have a history of miscarriage).
The male needs to do a semen analysis (abstinence for seven days).
