Patient's question:
Does anyone know what tests are included in the examination for endocrine disorders? I have been trying to conceive for a year without success. I am on the lean side, and my friend said it might be due to endocrine disorders. I plan to go to the hospital tomorrow for a detailed check-up and hope that those who know can tell me about it. Thank you.Doctor's answer:
If you do not use contraception for 6 months to 1 year and still remain infertile, you should get checked. For the male: Abstain from sex for 3 to 5 days, and have a routine semen analysis. For the female: On day 3 to 5 of the menstrual period, have an endocrine test using electrochemical luminescence; on day 3 to 5 after the menstrual period ends, have a vaginal mirror examination, dynamic digital hysterosalpingography, and a 4D color Doppler ultrasound of the vagina.
