Does uterine adhesion cause infertility?

Patient's question:

I've been married for 3 years. From the beginning, we took contraceptive measures and had no plans to have children. Now, my husband and I are discussing about having a child, but for some reason, I can't get pregnant. Because of this, my mother-in-law is almost furious. She thinks I'm unwilling to have children. When I went to the hospital for a check-up, the doctor said I have uterine adhesions.

Doctor's answer:

Hello, cervical canal adhesion and complete closure of the uterine cavity prevent sperm from fully entering the uterine cavity and ascending. In cases where partial adhesion blocks the fallopian tube opening, sperm cannot enter the fallopian tubes, both can lead to infertility. Due to factors such as uterine deformation, fibrosis inside the uterus, or other causes, the embryo may fail to implant, leading to repeated miscarriages and infertility. If diagnosed, surgical treatment is necessary.
