This volume is titled "Technology and Imperialism: Japanese Colonial Research Institutions in China." It examines the colonial research institutions established by Japanese imperialists in China from 1895 to 1945 to wage aggressive wars and maintain colonial rule, as well as their utilization of science and technology.
