Patient's question:
Approximately a month ago, I started experiencing stomach pain, and there was bleeding before my menstrual period, which was not at the expected time. Now, the bleeding is not heavy, but it hasn't reached the amount of a normal menstrual period. It lasted for about two days and stopped gradually, bit by bit. During my actual menstrual period, everything returned to normal.Doctor's answer:
The symptoms of uterine leiomyosarcoma are non-specific and similar to those of general female genital tumors, making preoperative diagnosis difficult. A history of uterine fibroids, rapid uterine enlargement, especially after menopause when the uterus not only fails to shrink but continues to grow, irregular vaginal bleeding around menopause or in young girls accompanied by uterine enlargement, patients who have previously received radiotherapy, sudden uterine enlargement with abnormal vaginal bleeding; or accompanied by symptoms such as abdominal pain, should consider the possibility of uterine sarcoma. Uterine enlargement with polypoid or lobulated necrotic tissue at the cervix should suggest the possibility of endometrial stromal sarcoma and malignant mixed müllerian tumor.
