Features: Life is like a dense forest, where tender green branches sprout, and withered yellow leaves fall, in a cycle. The forest paths are always covered with helpless old leaves. Eventually, the old leaves fade with time. The editor wants to gather some leaves ahead of time to show to readers. History is like a vast, flowing river, rushing to the sea and never returning. On the wide surface, ripples appear here and there, only to dissipate again. The editor attempts to preserve the fleeting impressions of the waves, pointing them out to future generations. This is a book about memories, its theme being preservation. It is a book of excerpts from yesterday's stories, offered to people of today. It is a book that can be read often, especially on important days in your life—when a historical figure is born or dies, or when an event or invention capable of changing the course of history happens on the same day. What a wonderful coincidence! If you are also someone who cherishes the past and is sentimental, what feelings would you have? The essence of this French-Chinese bilingual book about yesterday and today lies in this. The historical excerpts it contains range from the Battle of Marathon between Greece and Persia in 494 BC to Armstrong's last victory in the Tour de France on July 24, 2005. In its 365 pages, it encompasses 365 significant events, hoping to provide readers with ample information and a sense of novelty. It should be noted that, being bilingual, the book includes a large selection of content related to France. This series is published in French-Chinese bilingual format, with annotations on new words and difficult grammar, accompanied by exquisite illustrations. Readers can both expand their vocabulary through reading and cultivate their minds, broaden their knowledge, and enrich their lives.
