Features: Pragmatism is a book that shapes American character, a book that determines the guiding principles of American actions, and a semi-official philosophy of the United States, almost influencing the entire world. This book offers pragmatism, which may lack a sense of justice and humanity. Arming a mob might be immoral, but this metaphor is perhaps not entirely appropriate for ideas, filled with the flavor of medieval intellectual censorship and trials. If we cannot blame Plato for totalitarianism or Heidegger for Nazism, then we cannot blame the author of this book, James, for moral reactionism. Pragmatism philosophy bestows justice on commercial behavior, serving as a balm for the inner peace of those who benefit or suffer. Pragmatism is the most influential philosophical school born from American soil, serving as the official philosophy representing the American spirit and lifestyle. Pragmatism has fostered the heyday of materialism in Western society. Pragmatism is the philosophy of merchants, entrepreneurs, and real-life individuals. A person may completely reject pragmatism, yet they remain a pragmatist. Pragmatism opposes the dualistic metaphysics of modern times, decisively renouncing the abstract and inappropriate aspects of philosophy, and avoiding the attitude of solving problems literally. It tends toward the concrete and the appropriate. Pragmatism functionalizes empiricism, emphasizing life, action, facts, and results; it views knowledge as a "tool for action" and reduces "truth" to "utility" or "the success of action." Pragmatism is solely concerned with whether an action can bring practical benefits and rewards to an individual or group, regardless of whether it aligns with objective reality or principles. In the eyes of a pragmatist, what is useful is truth, and what is useless is falsehood. Pragmatism has greatly influenced the thoughts and actions of Americans, shaping American character and, in turn, influencing the entire world.
