Guided by Marxist legal theory, the book adheres to the principle of "One Country, Two Systems" and is based on the provisions of the Basic Law of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China. It provides a comprehensive, systematic, and thorough exposition of the current Hong Kong legal system and its development trends after 1997. The book is both theoretically profound and practically valuable. As such, Hong Kong Law: An Introduction can serve as a textbook for law students while also providing a valuable reference manual for various sectors of society, including legal professionals, lawyers, foreign-related economic, trade, business, finance, and tax professionals. To mark the handover of Hong Kong in 1997, the book has been extensively revised, with additional content added and some chapters reorganized for greater rationality.
