Features: The development of tourism is not only reflected in the increase of tourist numbers and the growth of tourism revenue, but should also be demonstrated in the improvement and enhancement of socioeconomic, cultural, and political aspects brought about by tourism. This book does not intend to conduct detailed policy research, but through comprehensive analysis and comparative studies, it argues that tourism should occupy an appropriate position in social life and the socioeconomic structure. Overemphasizing the development of the tourism industry is inappropriate, and the tourism industry and academia should maintain a necessary "humility" when discussing tourism development. Moderate tourism development is what a harmonious society requires. It is hoped that such perspectives can provide some assistance in formulating tourism development policies.
