During these three decades, the face of contemporary Chinese literature has undergone earth-shaking transformations. A host of outstanding writers and works have upheld a new sky for Chinese literature, rapidly integrating it into the global literary trend and ushering in its most glorious period of development. The prosperity of New Period Literature has also brought about a flourishing of New Period literary criticism and research. It can be said that tracking the study of New Period Literature has always been one of the most vibrant fields in China's contemporary academia and criticism, achieving a series of remarkable research outcomes. This series is divided into two types: Type A is a comprehensive compilation of research materials on New Period literary trends, schools, and genres, while Type B is a compilation of individual research materials on representative writers of the New Period. Each volume selects the best research outcomes in various fields and presents an overall index of related research findings in an appendix. This series adopts an open format and will be published long-term, with the aim of becoming an important academic project. Our goal is to prioritize the systematicity of materials, the scientificity of academia, the diversity of perspectives, and the authority of selection, striving to provide readers with a comprehensive and objective understanding of the history and current state of New Period literary research in China, as well as access to the best research articles in this field in the most efficient way possible.
China's children's literature can be said to suffer from congenital shortcomings and subsequent neglect. Before liberation, there were few children's writers, and the works left behind were minuscule. After the founding of the nation, children's literature experienced a period of prosperity but was nearly extinguished during the Cultural Revolution. Fortunately, after the Cultural Revolution, children's literature revived. Particularly in the 1980s and 1990s, Chinese children's literature made encouraging progress in creation, publishing, theoretical research, and teaching. We believe it will continue to thrive and look forward to a glorious future in the new century. This book is part of the "Comprehensive Research Materials on New Period Literature" (Type A) series, collecting the best research outcomes on New Period children's literature. It embodies the systematicity of materials, the scientificity of academia, the diversity of perspectives, and the authority of selection, making it a valuable and authoritative reference for university libraries to preserve. It is also an indispensable resource for modern and contemporary literature researchers, liberal arts teachers, students, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the Writers' Association, and the Modern and Contemporary Literature Society.
