At present, in the pursuit and exploration of artistic expression, prose creation, without a doubt, lags behind other literary forms such as fiction, poetry, and drama. While some explorations in these literary forms may not have been entirely successful, continuous exploration with corrections to errors will certainly contribute to their healthy development. Prose creation should exhibit more conscious exploration in this regard. It should strive to produce numerous original works of high aesthetic standards in the pursuit of new norms that defy categorization.
This book is part of the "Comprehensive Research Materials on New Period Chinese Literature" (Type A) series and collects the best research achievements on New Period prose. It embodies systematicity in materials, scientific rigor in academia, diversity in perspectives, and authoritative selection. It can serve as a valuable and authoritative reference for university libraries, as well as an indispensable resource for modern and contemporary literature scholars, liberal arts teachers, students, research institutes, writers' associations, and modern and contemporary literature societies.
