This book presents a complete and comprehensive utility-based theory of fair income distribution established by the author based on the unified utilitarianism theory he founded. The book has the following characteristics:
(1) It includes a subjectivist theory of value, arguing that any value is subjective because any value is a subject. Sometimes the subject is the entire human race, making the value appear objective, which I call "quasi-objective."
(2) It includes a modified von Neumann–Morgenstern (VNM) expected utility theory, a thoroughly quantitative utility theory that differs slightly from the VNM theory and also differs from the cardinal utility theory of economists.
(3) It integrates the theory of merit and demerit into utilitarianism, combining the maximization of social utility and the optimization of distribution into a single issue and establishing a monistic theory of distribution.
(4) It argues that the distribution problem, like a logical problem, must first define a moral community. The moral community in ethics should be the entire human race, but in distribution, the moral community can currently only be limited to the entire population of a nation. It can only be discussed as a moral community for distribution when the world is fully globalized in the future.
(5) It advocates that fair distribution should have a theory, which is a template for distribution. My utility-based template for fair distribution is "contribution," meaning "distribution according to contribution."
(6) Based on (5), I do not advocate egalitarianism.
