Features: Tracing the long river of history, deep in the passage of time, there exists a spiritual sanctuary filled with faith. The people there, though their faces are blurred, are relentlessly polished by time until they become clear; their steps, once stumbling, are constantly guided by dreams, growing more resolute; their words, though concise, are passed down through generations, resonant and powerful. Over the years, their figures may have dimmed due to neglect, but they have never vanished. Those voices echoing in dreams are precisely their melodious words. The vast Chinese nation, with its profound culture, has carved out a common name for them: Heroes! In the long 5,000-year history of China, how many moving figures have emerged from the land! In times of national prosperity and peace, they shed blood and made sacrifices. To resist foreign aggression and defend dignity, they acted without hesitation, sacrificing their lives for righteousness. "True courage lies in both bravery and martial prowess; steadfast strength cannot be subdued; though the body perishes, the spirit remains; undying souls, the heroes among ghosts!" They are truly the heroes of our nation, the ones who uphold the spiritual legacy of our people. Heroes embody the enduring memory of the nation, support its upright backbone, and set an honorable example. The spirit of heroes is where the essence of Chinese culture lies, the lifeline of the nation, and the fundamental belief that enables the descendants of Yan and Huang to flourish and endure. China is an ancient civilization that reveres heroes, and also a modern power that promotes the spirit of heroism. Heroes carry hope and expectations, inspiring us to carry forward our heritage as the Chinese nation rises peacefully. Today, as traditional values are diluted and an increasing number of foreign products replace domestic ones, when superheroes like Spider-Man, Saint Seiya, and Detective Conan have become the idols of children, how much space do our heroes still have to survive? Ten years to grow trees, a hundred years to raise people. Understanding and accepting our heroes requires long-term effort. The beginning of this effort lies with the youth, the rising sun. Embarking on a journey with dreams, pursuing the traces of heroes, and empathizing with their emotions—perhaps this is the simplest way for the youth to honor heroes. We choose the form of comics, which is favored by the youth, to remember our heroes, and we select outstanding comic artists from all over the country to portray our heroes. In the face of the invasion of foreign comic heroes, let our national heroes live vividly in the hearts of the youth, radiating the charm of history and national culture with dynamic poses, and facing the challenges of giants with a modern appearance. Comic Book Chinese Heroes will be an ideal cultural medium for the youth to read, as well as a spiritual feast and visual spectacle prepared for them by us. That is why we created Comic Book Chinese Heroes.
