Features: Huang Mufu, styled Mufu, also known as Mufu or Mufu, used the sobriquets Yishan Mountain Person, Yishan Ailing Old Man, Weary Old Man, and Master of the Weary Traveler's Den in his later years. In his youth, his studio was called Wosuanju, which he later changed to Yanqingfenshi in his middle age, and again to Weiyoukao, Xijuankao, and Guhuailinwuzhu in his old age. He was from Yi County, Anhui Province. His father was Huang Dehua, styled Zhonghe, who was knowledgeable in poetry, literature, and minor learning. He wrote the collection Ruitangji, which greatly influenced Huang Mufu's scholarship and seal carving. The life stories of Wu, Huang, and Qi were quite similar, especially in their youth. They all took on the heavy burdens of their families at an early age and experienced a period of difficult and life. Wu worked as a hired laborer, Qi still used the self-name "Wooden Person" in his old age, and Huang, with a sense of resolve, said: "Having lost my parents in my prime and facing poverty, I had no means to provide for myself. For over a decade, my tears were traced in the streets, and then I lost my job again. I drifted like a boat on the lakes and seas, relying on my minor skill to make a living." The life of poverty and the relentless pursuit of art shaped these three masters, which is what is meant by "striving for excellence after hardship." Moreover, in terms of learning, the three were very similar. The most influential masters for them were first the Zhe School, then Deng Shiru, Wu Rangzhi, and the late Qing Dynasty's Zhao Ziqian, especially Wu Rangzhi and Zhao Ziqian. "To aim high and only achieve the middle," the level of one's learning is crucial to artistic success. Even the most talented individuals, despite their efforts, can only reach a level close to their masters. Only those with extraordinary talent and quality can achieve extraordinary accomplishments, as is said, "the blue comes from the green but surpasses it." This book is divided into two volumes.
