Patient's question:
Hello, could you please ask the doctor why ovulation does not occur? What should I do then? How can I successfully get pregnant?Doctor's answer:
Causes of anovulation:1. Pituitary dysfunction: Pituitary adenoma, Sheehan's syndrome, tuberculosis or syphilitic granuloma.
2. Hypothalamic dysfunction: Divided into functional and organic categories. The former includes idiopathic hypothalamic amenorrhea, psychogenic amenorrhea, functional hyperprolactinemia, and anorexia nervosa; the latter includes hypothalamic tumors, post-encephalitis, and post-head trauma.
3. Ovarian dysfunction: Includes primary ovarian amenorrhea and secondary ovarian amenorrhea. The former includes Turner syndrome, among others. The latter includes premature ovarian failure, organic damage to the ovaries, such as loss of function after radiation exposure, destruction caused by tumors or inflammation.
