He manually recorded dozens of collections of poems left by Wenzhou scholars after the Qianlong and Jiaqing reigns, compiling them into Yang Yuan Shi Lü, leaving behind a precious legacy that is invaluable as historical materials. Mr. Meiling praised it as an "immortal and magnificent achievement." Some lost works in the important modern Wenzhou collection Chen Qiu Ji, Song Shu Ji, and Sun Qiangming Ji were preserved thanks to Shi Lü. Yang's works were never published. For this edition, in addition to the Yongjia Folk Songs from Zhizhi Ci volume, Ci Yin Shanfang Notes, Ci Mu Shan Ji Notes, and Yang Yuan Shi Lü being transcribed from the Wenzhou Municipal Library's collection of local literature, the rest were based on the original manuscripts from the Wenzhou Museum and other sources.
