What should I do if there is little amniotic fluid?

Patient's question:

I am almost 7 months pregnant. Recently, my belly hasn't been growing, and the fetus isn't moving much either. Sometimes I have symptoms of abdominal pain. My diet is still relatively normal. Yesterday, during my prenatal check-up, the doctor said my amniotic fluid is quite low and that I need to be careful. Since coming home, I've been very worried and can't sleep.
What kind of help do I need: What should I do if the amniotic fluid is low?

Doctor's answer:

Women in the late stage of pregnancy with less than 300ml of amniotic fluid are referred to as having oligohydramnios. Oligohydramnios in the early and middle stages of pregnancy is often followed by miscarriage. When oligohydramnios occurs, the amniotic fluid appears viscous, cloudy, and dark green. In the past, it was believed that the incidence of oligohydramnios was approximately 0.1%, but in recent years, due to the widespread use of B-mode ultrasound, the detection rate of oligohydramnios has increased to 0.5% to 4%. Oligohydramnios is now given significant attention because it severely affects the prognosis of the perinatal infant.
