When will you feel pregnant after a few days?

Patient's question:

A few days after my period ended, I had sex with my husband and didn't use any protection because I wanted to get pregnant. My period hasn't come this month and it's been delayed by a few days. Recently, I've been feeling dizzy and have little appetite. I'm planning to go to the hospital for a check-up.
What kind of help do I need: When do you usually start to feel pregnant?

Doctor's answer:

Women with regular menstrual cycles should consider whether they might be pregnant once their period stops. If a woman does not have her period for 10 days, she should suspect pregnancy. If she does not have her period for 30 days, she should strongly suspect it. At the very least, she should go to the hospital for a check-up. Nipple tenderness and breast fullness are often among the earliest sensations experienced by women who are pregnant for the first time.
