Mild cervical erosion without any symptoms does not require treatment. If it is moderate to severe erosion, some physical treatments can be performed. The most commonly used treatments now are microwave, laser, cryotherapy, and radiofrequency ablation. These treatments are quite effective. Generally, one treatment may be sufficient, or it may take two treatments. Medication is suitable for patients with small erosion areas, superficial inflammation, or under certain conditions. Locally, corrosive agents such as 25% silver nitrate and chromic acid are used. Before medication, the vagina should be flushed, then dried with dry cotton balls, and the normal vaginal mucosa should be protected with cotton balls.
