Pregnant for more than two months with severe vomiting. Any good suggestions?

Patient's question:

Expert, my wife is pregnant for more than two months, she has severe vomiting, and I'm almost losing confidence. She received an IV drip, which initially helped a bit, but now she's vomiting again, and her stomach hurts too. It's really unbearable. Do you have any good suggestions?

Doctor's answer:

Vomiting in the early stages of pregnancy is a normal physiological phenomenon and there is no need to be overly anxious. It usually has little impact on health and does not require treatment. Simply maintaining a positive mood, emotional stability, and getting adequate rest is sufficient. For most people, these symptoms can disappear on their own after the 12th week of pregnancy. If vomiting is particularly severe, and the pregnant person vomits everything they eat, they can take vitamin B6 orally. If metabolism becomes disrupted, medical treatment in a hospital may be necessary, and in some cases, hospitalization with intravenous fluids may be required.
