Patient's question:
However, I have previously worked with lasers and soldering. This time, during the colposcopy examination, the following were observed: the cervix was significantly enlarged, with erosion, and clear white and pale yellow retention cysts were visible in the squamocolumnar junction, along with scars from previous treatments. A polyp was also observed protruding from the cervical canal. The pathology diagnosis from the biopsy: the cervix (4, 9, 12) showed chronic endometrial inflammation with squamous metaplasia of the mucosa and glands, and (4) mild dysplasia of the mucosa. HPV infection is not ruled out.
The doctor recommended a cone biopsy. I don’t know what to do.
Could you please ask the experts: What is HPV, and can it be cured? What should I do?
Doctor's answer:
This is likely due to inflammation in the pelvic cavity and adnexa, or caused by endometriosis. It can be treated with oral levofloxacin, ornidazole, and Gynecological Qianjin tablets. It can also be treated with cassia twig and poria, Codonopsis pilosula, and white atractylodes. Heat application can also be used as an auxiliary treatment to promote the resolution of inflammation. If the condition is severe, surgical treatment may be necessary.
