Does having a spring dream during pregnancy affect the fetus?

Patient's question:

I am a pregnant woman, 13 weeks pregnant. Since finding out about the pregnancy, I have not had any sexual activity. Last night, I suddenly had a dream about intimacy and even felt an orgasm. I woke up immediately and was very scared! I have never had such dreams before! Will this affect the fetus? Today, I experienced two sharp pains in my abdomen, similar to being pricked with a needle, but they went away. Is there a problem?

Doctor's answer:

Hello:
Don't hurry too much. After pregnancy, due to significant changes in the body's physiological condition, sexual activity also needs to be adjusted accordingly. In the first three months of pregnancy, the uterus is more sensitive, and the attachment of the chorionic villi to the endometrium is not very firm. During this time, sexual activity may easily cause uterine contractions. Semen contains rich prostaglandin, which can cause the smooth muscles of the uterus and fallopian tubes to contract. It is used as a method for mid-pregnancy abortion with a success rate as high as 98%. The fertilized egg undergoes a series of changes in the uterine cavity, including cleavage, and then undergoes complex transformations to form the initial human form. If uterine contractions are frequent during this period, it can lead to difficulties in the implantation of the blastocyst. Therefore, sexual intercourse during the first three months of pregnancy can result in the most severe consequences, including miscarriage, which may terminate the pregnancy.
From the fourth to the eighth month of pregnancy, the fetus is in a relatively stable condition within the uterus. During this period, it is possible to have sexual activity in moderation, but attention should be paid to the duration of each sexual encounter and the appropriate position. If the uterus becomes hard or there is a feeling of tightness and discomfort in the lower abdomen, sexual activity should be immediately stopped to avoid serious consequences such as miscarriage and premature birth.
In the two months before and after pregnancy, the fetus grows rapidly, causing the uterus to expand significantly. The cervix gradually softens and shortens, and physiological dilation occurs. The lower end of the amniotic sac can easily approach the cervix or even be exposed to the upper part of the vagina. If sexual activity occurs during this period, it can easily lead to direct trauma to the fetal membranes. If the fetal membranes rupture prematurely, it can easily cause cord prolapse, ascending bacterial infection, endangering both the fetus in the womb and the pregnant woman herself. Foreign statistical data indicate that pregnant women who engage in one or more sexual activities per week in the last month before delivery are more likely to give birth to infants with respiratory system diseases, jaundice, and
