Where is the uterus located in our body?

Patient's question:

Detailed medical condition and consultation purpose: A little pain and itching slightly to the right of the navel, want to know if it's pregnancy or inflammation.
Duration and onset of the current illness: About three or four days after sexual intercourse.
Current general condition: Usually not, just occasionally.

Doctor's answer:

In the central pelvic cavity, it is inverted pear-shaped, flattened in front, slightly protruding at the back. In adults, the uterus is about 7 to 8 cm long, 4 to 5 cm wide, and 2 to 3 cm thick, with a uterine cavity capacity of about 5 ml. The upper part of the uterus is wider and is called the uterine body. The raised and prominent part at the top of the uterine body is called the uterine fundus. The sides of the uterine fundus are the uterine angles, which communicate with the fallopian tubes. The lower part of the uterus is narrower and cylindrical, called the cervix.
