Patient's question:
My wife is 42 weeks pregnant today (06.1.8), but she found bleeding this morning. The doctor diagnosed it as threatened miscarriage and recommended hospitalization for bed rest. However, the ultrasound showed that the gestational sac is 1.9x0.9 in size and no primitive vessel pulsation was observed. I am wondering if this pregnancy has any value to be saved. Is it not viable because there is no primitive vessel pulsation at 42 weeks? I am very anxious to get an answer. Thank you.Doctor's answer:
Hello, this is a threatened miscarriage, but, it also makes sense, it is usually caused by developmental abnormalities or viral infections. I think it is better not to keep it, this is the law of natural selection!! Miscarriage must have its reasons!!
