Marriage examination

Patient's question:

Hello, I would like to ask which specific items are checked during the pre-marital health examination for women. Thank you!

Doctor's answer:

Hello: When examining the female reproductive organs, an abdominal-perineal double assessment should be performed. If a vaginal examination is required, consent must be obtained from the patient or their family members before proceeding. Except for abnormal development of the hymen, it is strictly forbidden to describe its integrity. For suspected developmental abnormalities, a cautious diagnosis should be made.
Routine auxiliary examinations should include chest X-ray, complete blood count, urinalysis, syphilis screening, blood transaminase and hepatitis B surface antigen tests, and Trichomonas vaginalis and Candida tests in female vaginal secretions.
Other special examinations, such as serological markers for hepatitis B, gonorrhea, HIV, mycoplasma and chlamydia tests, semen routine tests, B-type ultrasound, breast examinations, and karyotype tests, should be determined based on needs or voluntary principles.
