Patient's question:
Detailed medical condition and consultation purpose: Vaginal bleeding occurred at three months of pregnancy, and ultrasound showed that the fetal bud had stopped developing.I consulted a traditional Chinese medicine doctor, who said I have severe deficiency of both qi and blood, leading to blood unable to support the pregnancy. If I want another child, I must first regulate my qi and blood.
Is this the reason? If so, what Chinese herbal medicines should I take to restore my qi and blood?
Doctor's answer:
Treatment should focus on replenishing both qi and blood. Reference formulas: Eight Treasure Decoction, Gui Pi Tang, Dang Gui Bu Xue Tang, Shi Quan Da Bu Wan, etc. Here are several simple dietary methods for replenishing qi and blood deficiency:1. Angelica and Goji Chicken Soup: 10 grams of goji berries, angelica sinensis, and red dates each, along with one chicken or an appropriate amount of pork, and ginger, are stewed together and consumed.
2. Codonopsis and Angelica Stewed Meat Soup: 10–15 grams of codonopsis, 10 grams of angelica sinensis, one chicken or an appropriate amount of pork, and ginger are stewed together and consumed.
3. Pork Blood and Liver Soup: A soup made with an appropriate amount of pork blood and liver is consumed.
4. Add 5 grams of Ejiao (Asiabellis) pearls to meat soup and consume.
5. Cook glutinous rice porridge with 10 grams of longan meat and 10 red dates, then add eggs and consume.
6. Stew meat with 10 grams of astragalus and 10 grams of angelica sinensis, then eat the meat and drink the soup.
Lifestyle care: If a woman has qi and blood deficiency, she may not be able to nourish her body properly, which can affect the implantation and development of the fertilized egg. Therefore, you should nourish your body as early as possible.
