The series consists of seven volumes: Vocabulary Prep, Basic Knowledge, Listening, Reading, Grammar and Vocabulary, Cloze, Translation, and Short Answer/Composition. The main creators of the series are experienced teachers who have taught CET-4 and CET-6 English for many years. They have extensive teaching experience and effective preparation guidance, with their students achieving nearly a 100% pass rate in the CET-4. The series also includes contributions from some top CET-4 and CET-6 test-takers who have written certain chapters, providing unique insights and valuable experience for students preparing to face the challenges of the CET-4. This book is the Listening volume of the "30 Days to Master the CET-4" series, covering the listening section of the CET-4 and comes with audio recordings for self-assessment before the exam. Listening accounts for 20% of the total score. Before June 1997, the listening comprehension section consisted of two parts: Short Conversations (Section A) and Passages (Section B). However, starting from June 1997, a new listening type—dictation—replaced the passage section. Dictation includes two forms: Spot Dictation and Compound Dictation. In past exams, the CET-4 has adopted Compound Dictation to replace passages in June 1997, January 1998, June 2001, and December 2002, among others.
