Features: As a great creative undertaking, Jiangsu's "Two Firsts" requires dual exploration in both practice and theory. In February 2005, in line with the spirit of the indicator system for "Jiangsu taking the lead in building a moderately prosperous society in all respects" proposed by Secretary of the Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the CPC Li Yuanchao, the Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the CPC Propaganda Department and Nanjing University jointly established a research team focused on "Practical and Theoretical Reflections on Building a Moderately Prosperous Society in Jiangsu." This book is the final research outcome of that project. To further utilize the research findings and lay the groundwork for future in-depth studies, the research team decided to publish the project's results through Nanjing University Press. Professors Hong Yinxing and Zhang Erzhen were responsible for coordinating the further refinement and improvement of the two main reports and 12 sub-reports included in the book, ensuring greater uniformity in format and length while refining and elevating the key arguments. Sun Zhijun made the final revisions and approval.
