Author: Wang Yongjiu
Publisher:
Publishing Date: 2006-04-01
Features: When the author reflects on his academic career, The Five Thousand Years History of China is mentioned the most and written about the most among his works. Accordingly, the compilation process and content of The New Records of Zunyi are set apart as a separate chapter, though the text is much more concise. As for the Universalist Church, since it did not have a widespread social impact, it is only briefly described in one section. During the author's tenure in charge of education affairs in Taiwan, he made significant achievements. During the War of Resistance Against Japan, the author was actually the behind-the-scenes organizer and core figure of New Confucianism studies. After arriving in Taiwan, he vigorously promoted the popularization of traditional Chinese culture and integrated the education of traditional Chinese culture into the teaching of all levels of schools and grassroots publicity in society. These efforts hold an important position in social development and cultural construction, and are therefore also introduced in the biography. The author's academic research covers an extremely broad scope, and his writings are very extensive. Due to space constraints, a simple description is difficult to achieve, so a partial list of academic works is provided for reference.
