Features: This book is condensed and organized based on the author's doctoral dissertation. Initially, when writing the doctoral dissertation, the book title was "An Introduction to Law and Development Research—A Study Centered on Economic and Political Development." The entire book, excluding the "Introduction" and "Conclusion," consists of six chapters: Chapter "The Origin of Law and Development Research," Chapter "The History and Current State of Law and Development Research," Chapter "Basic Approaches to Law and Development Research in China," Chapter "Institutions, Law, and Economic Development," Chapter "Democracy, Rule of Law, and Constitutionalism," and Chapter "The Development of Law." However, during my doctoral dissertation defense, I did not present the entire content of this paper. Instead, I selected only Chapter "The Origin of Law and Development Research," Chapter "The History and Current State of Law and Development Research," and Chapter "The Development of Law" (excluding the "Introduction" and "Conclusion") to form the defense text for my doctoral dissertation.
