Patient's question:
Hello, does laser treatment for cervical inflammation affect fertility? Generally, when is the best time to do it after menstruation? I plan to have a child at the end of the year, will it have any adverse effects on the child? I am in Beijing, how much does it usually cost? Which hospital is the best for this? Thank youDoctor's answer:
If you have not yet given birth or still have fertility requirements, laser treatment for cervical erosion is not recommended. Laser treatment for cervical erosion can weaken the elasticity of the cervix, potentially causing cervical laceration and severe bleeding during a natural childbirth. Laser treatment may also lead to cervical canal adhesion, which can result in infertility. It is recommended to use vaginal medication for treatment. For 42 days after the surgery or until recovery is confirmed during follow-up, sexual activity is prohibited to avoid damaging the newly formed cervical wound.
