What are the symptoms of metrorrhagia and leucorrhea?

Patient's question:

What is the meaning of uterine bleeding and leukorrhea? What are its symptoms? Additional question 1: What adverse consequences might it lead to? How should it be treated?

Doctor's answer:

Hello: If a woman experiences excessive vaginal bleeding outside of her menstrual period, it is referred to as "" (profuse bleeding); or if the bleeding is continuous and intermittent, it is called "" (continuous leakage). Therefore, the Jisheng Fang states: "The diseases of '' and '' stem from one underlying condition—mild cases are termed 'leakage,' while severe cases are termed 'profuse bleeding.'"
When a woman discharges a viscous or thin liquid continuously, like a ribbon, it is called "" (leukorrhea). As for women during their physiological development period, before or after menstruation, or in the early stages of pregnancy, the vagina may also secrete small amounts of colorless, transparent fluid, often causing a sensation of wetness. This is a normal physiological phenomenon and is not considered leukorrhea.
The occurrence of "" and "" is primarily due to damage to the Chong and Ren meridians, as well as the deficiency of internal organs, which leads to an inability to hold things in place. Leukorrhea is mostly classified as a dampness syndrome, and it is named as such because the Dài meridian fails to restrain the body, hence the name.
