Hello:Trichomoniasis Treatment: Metronidazole (Flagyl) 200mg, oral, three times daily for 7 days as one course; vaginal irrigation or sitz bath with 1% lactic acid or 0.5% acetic acid or 1:5000 potassium permanganate solution, once daily, followed by the application of Metronidazole 200mg vaginally. Alternatively, Trichovag or Carbarsone can be used.
Note: Both partners should receive treatment simultaneously. Abstinence from sexual activity is required during treatment. Underwear and towels should be boiled for disinfection. Avoid alcohol during medication. After the trichomoniasis test results turn negative, a vaginal discharge examination should be conducted after each menstrual period. If the trichomoniasis test remains negative for three consecutive times, the condition is considered cured.
