Interpretation of Classic Works by Architectural Masters - Floor Plans. Elevations. Sections

Features: This book focuses on typical 20th-century architecture as its subject matter, while also providing two fundamental principles for selecting these classic buildings. First, what are the criteria for selection? Second, what is the basis for the organization and sequence of the selected buildings? The book decides to include only completed buildings, regardless of whether they have been preserved. Therefore, we have excluded some research projects from the history of 20th-century architecture. Our selection of buildings tends to favor those with innovative significance—whether in style, technology, or planning—particularly those that have had a major impact on the development of architectural exhibition techniques. While correctly evaluating top architectural masters, the book also aims to encompass as many architects and their works as possible. Each building in the book is accompanied by floor plans, sections, and elevations drawn with CAD software, providing a more comprehensive analysis of each case than the information typically found in general historical sources. One advantage of this book is that it does not explain the usual "causes and events," although these can help illustrate the creation and dissemination of architectural thought and contribute to a concise historical overview of modern architecture. This serves as the foundation for the book's compilation.
