Features: Currently, public environmental awareness in China is not yet very high. The phenomenon of pursuing temporary, one-sided development without considering environmental carrying capacity still exists; in some places, actions that pollute a river or damage the land for short-term corporate interests are still relatively common. General Secretary Jiang Zemin once clearly stated that environmental awareness and environmental quality are important indicators of a nation's and people's level of civilization. In the next decade, China will achieve the third strategic goal, and the national economy will continue to maintain a relatively rapid growth rate, while the population will also continue to grow, putting tremendous pressure on the ecological environment. Only by quickly improving the environmental awareness of the entire population and forming a situation where the whole society cares about environmental protection and the entire population participates in it can China's ecological environment be protected more effectively, environmental quality continuously improved, and the vision of a bluer sky, greener land, cleaner water, and more beautiful mountains and rivers be permanently realized in the Chinese land. It is believed that the publication of this series of books will play a positive role in enhancing public environmental science knowledge and improving the environmental awareness of the entire population.
