Features: Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has a long history and profound content. Over thousands of years of development, many highly skilled and virtuous physicians such as Bian Que, Zhang Zhongjing, Hua Tuo, Sun Simiao, Li Shizhen, and Zhang Jingyue have emerged, leaving behind a wealth of valuable medical literature for future generations. These texts contain both rich TCM theories and effective cures that have proven reliable across generations, all of which are invaluable treasures of our national medicine. However, among the preserved formulas from past dynasties, there are inevitably some that are mediocre or fall short of expectations. Therefore, we organized a team to compile this Comprehensive Collection of TCM Verified Formulas to highlight the strengths of others while avoiding the shortcomings of existing books, ultimately aiming to achieve completeness and practicality, enriching the people.
This book is organized by category, with formulas as the main focus, and selects nearly two thousand secret and verified formulas from modern and contemporary renowned TCM practitioners. The content covers nine clinical disciplines: Internal Medicine, Surgery, Gynecology, Urology, Pediatrics, Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology, Dermatology, Orthopedics, and Oncology. It includes both common and frequently occurring diseases, as well as difficult and severe conditions. All the selected formulas have been clinically verified, ensuring reliable efficacy and strong targeting, making them highly practical.
For each category and condition, the book provides a concise overview, allowing readers to first understand the basic situation of the disease (including clinical symptoms and pathogenesis). Then, for each condition, several verified formulas are provided. Each formula generally includes sections such as "Formula Composition," "Usage and Dosage," "Function and Indications," "Modifications," "Contraindications," and "Case Verification." It is a collection of the essence of various medical practices, forming a unique clinical approach.
The information for each formula in this book is relatively complete, presented in plain language with clear and organized entries. We strive to make it so that readers—even those without medical knowledge—can understand and use the formulas effectively after reading them. However, as a general patient, one should not act hastily based on the book's guidance. It is best to use the formulas under the guidance of a doctor to achieve the best results.
During the compilation of this book, we referred to and quoted from some Chinese TCM academic journals and publicly published materials in our country. Due to limited conditions, we were unable to contact all the authors, and we express our sincere gratitude for their contributions. Additionally, during the editing and publishing process, Professor Cui Zhaolin of Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine reviewed and corrected the book. We extend our thanks to him as well.
