Patient's question:
Please ask if there is a certain amount of ovulation, and how to promote ovulation and the amount of ovulation.Doctor's answer:
Hello: A normal woman can ovulate about 400 times in her lifetime, and ovulation usually occurs around 14 days before the next menstrual period. The egg can be released alternately from both ovaries or continuously from one ovary. Most women release only one egg per cycle, and ovulation occurs once per menstrual cycle. Some women may occasionally release two eggs, and if conception occurs during this time, it can result in dizygotic (fraternal) twins. Ovulation failure or reduced ovulation frequency can lead to infertility or subfertility. Medications used for ovulation induction include clomiphene, human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG), human menopausal gonadotropin (HMG), luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone (LHRH), and cabergoline. Clomiphene is the first-line medication for ovulation induction. These drugs are only used to treat infertility and should be taken strictly according to medical advice. Never take them blindly without consulting a doctor.
