Common causes of increased leukorrhea:1. During candidal vulvovaginitis, leukorrhea may be yellow or white, mostly viscous in texture, sometimes thin. Typical leukorrhea resembles cottage cheese or curdled milk.
2. Leukorrhea in trichomoniasis is thin and purulent, yellow in color, foamy, or like dirty water (greyish-white), with a foul odor.
3. With cervical erosion, leukorrhea is generally yellow, viscous like mucus, and mostly odorless.
4. Leukorrhea in gonorrhea is yellow and purulent.
5. During endometritis or other pelvic inflammatory diseases, leukorrhea may increase, turning yellow and thin, often accompanied by abdominal pain.
6. With fallopian tube cancer, due to tumor stimulation of tubal epithelial fluid leakage and necrotic tissue, watery leukorrhea may appear continuously.
It is recommended to conduct routine leukorrhea tests to identify the cause, receive targeted treatment, and pay attention to local hygiene at the same time.
