Am I not pregnant at all, or could I have been pregnant but miscarried?

Patient's question:

Detailed medical condition and consultation purpose: For many years, my menstrual cycle has been very regular, occurring every 28 days. It was supposed to come on the 30th of November, but it didn't. I thought I might be pregnant. However, the pregnancy test was negative. Then, on December 7th, I suddenly had my period. Could it be that I was never pregnant, or is it possible that I was pregnant but had a miscarriage? Is it necessary to be definitively diagnosed to call it pregnancy?
Auxiliary tests: I have previously been tested for infertility, and all the tests were normal.

Doctor's answer:

Only with this cannot determine if pregnant. After the menstrual cycle is delayed for 7 days, you can use a pregnancy test kit to check it. Two red lines on the test paper indicate a positive result, which means pregnancy. Additionally, 10 days after sexual intercourse, you can go to the hospital for a blood HCG test, which is the most accurate method for checking pregnancy.
