Is it normal to have brown discharge 2-3 days after the menstrual period?

Patient's question:

Medical Description: The menstrual period is delayed, and it is irregular. The first day has a small amount of flow, the second and third days have more flow, the fourth day has a little flow, and the fifth to seventh days have small amounts of brown discharge. Is this normal? Do I have a gynecological disease?
History of Treatment and Effect: No treatment has been received. Desired Help: I want to know if this is normal?

Doctor's answer:

This is due to secretions caused by ovulation, not related to gynecological diseases. Rest assured, it's nothing to worry about.
Recommendation: Ovulation bleeding is caused by the rupture of the follicle, fluctuations in estrogen levels, changes in vascular permeability, leading to red blood cells leaking out of the blood vessels. This results in a small amount of vaginal bleeding and an increase in leukorrhea. Ovulation bleeding is usually light in amount and short in duration. Some people may only experience small amounts of brownish discharge, which typically lasts for half a day or 2–3 days. It may be accompanied by mild ovulation pain and lower back discomfort. These are all normal physiological responses and do not require treatment.
