This "World Classics Encyclopedia" series consists of three volumes: Humanities and Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, and Literature and Arts. The "Humanities and Social Sciences Volume" introduces approximately 130 classic works from 13 disciplines, including philosophy; the "Natural Sciences Volume" introduces approximately 150 classic works from 8 disciplines, as well as scientific philosophy and the history of science; the "Literature and Arts Volume" introduces approximately 150 classic works in poetry, novels, prose, and drama. Additionally, this series has a prominent feature: it is richly illustrated. We have made every effort to select corresponding images for each classic work, including portraits of the authors, scenes of their work, book covers, interior pages, illustrations, and other relevant background images. This work was quite challenging, and we were able to complete it with great benefit from the creations of predecessors and contemporaries. We sincerely express our gratitude here.
