Is it serious that the placenta is 37mm away from the cervix at 33 weeks?

Patient's question:

Symptom Description: No reaction, the examination was done at the municipal maternal and child health hospital. I may have marginal placenta previa, but I want to have a vaginal birth. Is there any way?
History of Treatment and Effect: No treatment, the doctor said it might grow back.
Help Needed: I want to know if I can still have a vaginal birth.

Doctor's answer:

Hello! A normal fertilized embryo will be located inside the uterus. However, if the implantation site of the fertilized embryo is low, when the placenta grows, the increasingly large placenta will remain in a relatively lower position in the uterus of the pregnant woman, close to the cervix but not covering it. This is called placenta previa, also known as marginal placenta previa.
If you have placenta previa, don’t panic, because anxiety will only affect the progress of your pregnancy. Placenta previa is when the placenta attaches to the lower segment of the uterus or a lower position, below the presenting part of the fetus. Since the cervix extends and elongates during pregnancy, a checkup before 24 weeks is not sufficient to diagnose placenta previa.
