Features: This book took over three years from conception to the final character being typed. The time span of the entire book covers from the 16th National Congress of the Communist Party of China in 2002 to the successful conclusion of the 5th Plenary Session of the 16th Central Committee of the Party in October 2005. During this period, it went from the initial urge to write, to bravely drafting an outline, to writing the first two chapters, to organizing classmates to collect materials, to finally picking up the pen and writing it all out in one go. It was a long process. Not only because it spans the disciplines of political science and economics, but also because it is a highly sensitive topic. Therefore, even now, looking at the nearly 300,000-character manuscript, I still feel a bit uneasy. After all, for a young and inexperienced writer like me, my ability to handle this topic is certainly limited, and a slight mistake could lead to serious consequences. Although it is an era of freedom of speech, under the strong influence of the advanced education for Communist Party members, as a member of the Communist Party of China, I have always been cautious throughout the writing process, sincerely treating every punctuation mark and every character to express my loyalty and serious attitude towards writing, in order to avoid even the slightest mistake. Perhaps all I can aspire to is to evolve into the child in the story of "The Emperor's New Clothes," exploring the truth, knowledge, and essence of science.
