Can infertility caused by miscarriage be cured?

Patient's question:

Two years ago, I had an induced abortion and an abortion in the first half of the year. If I am forced to have two more induced abortions in the next half of the two years, what will my future be like? I almost lost the courage to survive. Please help me!

Doctor's answer:

Hello: Multiple miscarriages can easily lead to tubal inflammation, which may cause infertility.
The treatment for tubal infertility primarily depends on the cause and the severity of the condition. Tubal inflammation is a significant cause, and the first-line treatment is medication. Antibiotics are selected based on bacterial culture and drug sensitivity tests. Note that tubal inflammation is often a mixed infection of aerobic and anaerobic bacteria, so metronidazole or tinidazole should be added for intravenous infusion or oral administration. After the inflammation subsides, if the fallopian tubes are blocked or only partially unblocked, fallopian tube hydrotubation can be performed. This procedure is repeated during the menstrual cycle for about 3 months. The fluids used include normal saline, dexamethasone (5 mg), trypsin (4,000 units), and tobramycin (80,000 units). Salomy reported that 32% of 40 patients who used this method became pregnant.
Hysteroscopic tubal catheterization is another method for treating blocked fallopian tubes.
Stay full of confidence for the future. If it still doesn’t work, IVF can always be an option.
