Patient's question:
Cervicitis degree 1, Bomei treatment in August, follow-up in October, the result is not completely healed, the doctor diagnosed cervical erosion still degree 1. Please ask if my condition, if you want to be completely cured, need to do Bomei treatment again, if not, can it be cured? Thank youFirst question supplement: What medicine can be used for treatment? Can have sex before curing?
Second question supplement: Can it be temporarily untreated? Can it be cured without treatment?
Doctor's answer:
During treatment, sexual activity is not allowed.(1) Medication treatment: For small erosion areas with shallow inflammation, the following medication treatments can be used:
① 10–20% silver nitrate: Apply locally once a week, with 2–4 applications per course.
② Potassium permanganate: Apply locally after menstruation, and repeat the medication once after 1–2 months. When using these medications, handle them carefully to prevent burns to the surrounding vaginal wall. Additionally, ensure sterilization during application to prevent reinfection.
(2) Physical treatment: Used for larger erosion areas with deeper inflammation.
① Electrocautery: Use a specialized electrocautery device to burn the erosion tissue, causing it to necrose and fall off. The treatment should reach a certain depth for optimal results.
② Cryotherapy: Use a specialized rapid freezing device to freeze and necrose the diseased tissue of the erosion area, causing it to fall off. Liquid nitrogen is commonly used as the cryogenic agent, which can lower the temperature of the cryotherapy device’s tip to -196°C. Apply the device to the surface of the cervix to freeze and necrose the erosion tissue, allowing new epithelial tissue to regenerate. This can typically cure the condition in one session. Generally, there are no adverse reactions, though some patients may experience mild dizziness or lower abdominal pain.
