Features: The corpus used for studying the grammar of Western Zhou Chinese consists of two categories: traditional literature and unearthed literature. Traditional literature includes the Book of Changes (Hexagram and Line Texts), the Book of Songs (Odes and Hymns), the Book of Documents (Zhou Documents), and part of the Lost Books of Zhou. Uearthed literature includes Western Zhou bronze inscriptions, Western Zhou oracle bone inscriptions, and unearthed versions of the Book of Changes, the Book of Songs, and the Lost Books of Zhou. Currently, the Western Zhou corpus we can access is still limited, so the grammar depicted based on it cannot be considered a complete picture of Western Zhou grammar. However, grammar is different from vocabulary; a certain amount of corpus can basically reflect the grammar of a certain era. Therefore, based on the aforementioned corpus, the basic features of Western Zhou Chinese grammar can be depicted.
