Features: Diabetic foot ulcers and amputations severely impact patients' quality of life and incur enormous medical costs. By holding national diabetic foot workshops and compiling this monograph, we aim to promote the experiences we and other institutions have gained in diabetic foot research and clinical practice in recent years. We hope to promote and standardize the diagnosis and treatment of diabetic foot nationwide, benefiting diabetic patients. The study of human stem cells has become a new frontier in life science research. In this monograph, we dedicate considerable space to introducing this topic, believing it will be helpful to readers. Through the publication of this monograph, we hope to strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration among departments such as internal medicine and surgery to jointly tackle the global challenge of diabetic foot. We also believe that this work will significantly advance the basic research and clinical applications of stem cells.
